The new Prototype Cup Germany will start for the first time as part of the German GT Championship: at the DEKRA Lausitzring the race series will complete rounds five and six of the season at the Family & Friends Festival and will feature spectacular Le Mans prototypes. There is a lot to experience on the spacious track in Brandenburg. In addition to motorsport, the Family & Friends Festival offers different experiences for the whole family with technology highlights, presentations, a look behind the scenes at the DEKRA Lausitzring and much more. Tickets are available from 5 euros at adac.de/motorsport. The races of the Prototype Cup Germany will also be broadcast on Saturday and Sunday in a free livestream on youtube.com/adac, adac.de/motorsport and youtube.com/24hseries.

Marvin Dienst (25/Lampertheim, Toksport WRT) travels to the Lausitz with three wins from the first four races of the season. Together with team-mate Berkay Besler (23/TUR), the Ligier JS P320 driver leads the championship standings. "The next two wins are of course the very big goal for the races at the Lausitzring. We want to extend our championship lead and clinch the title at the end of the season," said Dienst, who also competes in the ADAC GT Masters at the same time. "I really like the Lausitzring and have always been fast there. I particularly like the first sector with its many corners. The section is reminiscent of the Esses of Suzuka and has a very fluid and varied character. It's particularly fun to drive there."

Also highly motivated is Donar Munding (20/Stuttgart, Mühlner Motorsport), who is joint second in the standings with Matthias Lüthen (41/Hamburg). In addition: Munding is leading the Junior classification of the Prototype Cup Germany - Lüthen is at the top of the Trophy classification. "Of course, you always look at the overall standings first, but the Junior classification is also very important to me," said Munding. "I'm really looking forward to the Lausitzring and I'm really keen to chase results there together with my team-mate in the Duqueine D08 from Mühlner Motorsport. The Lausitzring is completely new territory for me in an LMP3 car. So it's important to concentrate right from the start of the race weekend. In the two races we want to finish on the podium again and thus consolidate second place in the standings."

The Prototype Cup Germany presents a diverse field at the Lausitzring. With the Ligier JS P320, Duqueine D08 and Ginetta G61-LT-P3, three different LMP3 models are competing in the series. Konrad Motorsport is fielding two Ginetta cars, as it did at the Nürburgring. Gebhardt Motorsport also relies on the same model. In addition to Toksport WRT, Reiter Engineering will also field a Ligier. The Duqueine fraction at the Lausitzring consists of Racing Experience, Koiranen Kemppi Motorsport, Rinaldi Racing, Wochenspiegel Team Monschau and Mühlner Motorsport.
